Nick Newman has lost not one, but two sons recently on The Young and the Restless. He’s learned that little Christian was fathered by his brother Adam. Before that, Noah left to take an overseas job with Newman Enterprises.

If Noah were to come back to help support his dad would you like to see his last portrayer, Robert Adamson, reprise the role? Or, would you be okay seeing a new Noah? Soap Hub asked, and here’s how you answered.

Noah’s Story Arc
The majority of you, over 58%, don’t want to see Noah recast. You feel that Adamson was doing a great job and there’s no need to replace him.

Sure, the actor didn’t always have a lot to do, but he hit it out of the park when Noah learned that his girlfriend Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) shared a kiss with his half-sister Mariah (Camryn Grimes). Plus, the genuine pain Noah felt when he also realized that his mother Sharon (Sharon Case) knew about the kiss and didn’t tell him tugged at fans’ hearts.

New Noah
The rest of you, a little over 41%, say that yes, you’d be okay with a new Noah coming on board.

The part has been played roughly by a dozen actors and three (Adamson, Kevin Schmidt, and Luke Kleintank) have played the part as a young adult. The character hasn’t been lucky in romance, but perhaps that could change when a new Noah comes back to Genoa City.

Double Jeopardy
While most of you want Adamson back, the fact is that Y&R has been very successful with recasts over the years. Jess Walton took over the role of Jill from the wildly popular Brenda Dickson. In the role, Walton went on to win two Daytime Emmys, amassing a legion of fans along the way.

Likewise, Peter Bergman took over the role of Jack from Terry Lester, who was also very popular in his role. As Jack, Bergman went on to win three Daytime Emmys.

As for whether or not we’ll ever see Adamson in the role of Noah again only time will tell!

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
