The Young and the Restless’ Phyllis and Sally likely don’t agree on much but Michelle Stafford and Courtney Hope are both on the same page when it comes to pal Rena Sofer (Quinn, The Bold and the Beautiful) supporting dog charities. And they’ve put their money where their mugs are!

“Thank you so much @therealstafford for buying 4…. Yes FOUR of my [expletive] mugs to raise money for #freedomflights for animals in the #cdcban countries to get over here before the ban goes into effect on July 15th,” Sofer posted on Instagram. “The money will also go to my favorite Southern California rescues as well who are struggling to save as many animals as possible in our very overcrowded shelters!”
Over the last year during the pandemic, some folks have adopted dogs only to later try to return them to shelters as social-distancing restrictions have lessened. “PLEASE REMEMBER!! Adopting an animal is for their life!” Sofer points out. “Please be responsible and if you want an animal but can’t commit to life then think about being a foster. It really helps.
“NOW I know some of you also want mugs and there is a very limited amount I am making but @therealstafford literally accosted me in the hallway at @cbstv between @boldandbeautifulcbs and @youngandrestlesscbs and ‘demanded’ 4…” Sofer shares hastening to add, “Well not demanded because she is a dear friend. But asked in her ‘Michelle way’ and I couldn’t say no!”

Fortunately, Sofer plans on making more and she promises to keep her followers posted. Stafford’s not the only redheaded dynamo residing in Genoa City who is encouraging Sofer’s efforts. Courtney Hope saw Stafford’s post and wanted a mug for herself — and Sofer was more than happy to provide! “Supporting my girl @rena.sofer and her charity to raise money and your *mugs* for #freedomflights for the animals in the #cdcban countries to get here before July 15th!” Hope posted on her Instagram.
“Handmade mugs, this woman is so talented and has the biggest heart for all these furry babies!” Hope adds. “The money also goes to many of her favorite SoCal charities trying to save these animals from the incredibly overcrowded shelters.
