News that The Young and the Restless, General Hospital, and All My Children alum Billy Miller passed away rocked the world of daytime this week. Y&R created a beautiful tribute to Miller, who portrayed Billy Abbott from 2008 to 2014, earning three Daytime Emmy Awards along the way.
Y&R Remembers Billy Miller
After Thursday’s episode, the CBS daytime drama aired a beautiful short slideshow honoring the late actor. The clip, which you can see below, shared moments of Miller as Billy.
A beautiful smile, a fun hat, a proposal, and Billy as he waited for Victoria (Amelia Heinle) at the altar made up the wonderful moments of remembrance. At the end, the screen faded to black and white with the words “Billy Miller 1979 to 2003” at the bottom.
The soap also shared the video on its official social media channels, and fans used the comments to express their grief.
“Thank you, Y&R. The tribute was a very nice, and the picture choices were all Billy. Part of the reason we, his fans, loved him so much,” wrote one viewer.
Another replied, “I was hoping Y&R would do something special. He was a great actor & will be truly missed. Thoughts are with his family, friends & co-stars.”
“Thank you for doing this beautiful tribute. He was so loved by the fans. It really hurts. My heart goes out to his family and friends and to his YR family that I know is hurting,” added another fan.
