Chelsea and Adam had dinner on the February 26 episode of The Young and the Restless. The talked about cooking. A lot. They talked about oatmeal, they talked about pasta, they talked about cake. It was… scintillating. It was also extremely confusing. What exactly is going on here?
Meant To Be
On Valentine’s Day, Adam (Mark Grossman) had a dream where he and Sally (Courtney Hope) got back together. The following week, Adam told Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) that he had a dream…where they were supposed to get back together. Um…what?
Sure, a few days had passed in between dreams, he may have had others we weren’t given access to. But that is very weird for the viewers. Suddenly, Adam is obsessed with reuniting with Chelsea. Even to the point of cooking.

Stop Trying To Make Fetch Happen
Adam and Chelsea look to be on a direct course for a romantic reunion. And we have only one question: Why? We know, on-screen, it’s for Precious Connor’s (Judah Mackey) sake. But what, we may ask, is the story here? What’s the conflict? What’s the drama?
What will be the payoff if Chelsea and Adam become a couple again? Will Connor be magically cured? (Kind of insulting to any parents who are struggling with their child’s mental illness. They’d be all better if you only did what they wanted!) And if he is, we ask again: What’s the conflict?

Care Less
No one will care. Not Victor (Eric Braeden), not Nick (Joshua Morrow), not Sharon (Sharon Case). Sally might swallow hard, but she’s insisting that she’s happy with Billy (Jason Thompson) now. She won’t be a problem.
If the drama is supposed to come from Adam really wanting Sally while he is trying to convince himself to make do with Chelsea, it would be nice to see some of that instead of having to make it up to provide the dull cooking scenes any kind of subtext.
