Victor made it clear to Kyle that he forbids the Abbot scion from dating his precious Claire on the February 18 episode of The Young and the Restless. Victor hates the Abbotts. Victor hates Jack Abbott most of all. Kyle is Jack Abbot’s son; ergo, Victor hates Kyle; ergo, Kyle can’t date Claire; ergo, Victor has spoken, and thus it is decided. In response, Kyle made a heartfelt speech about how much he cares for Claire and why he is willing to do anything Victor asks to get his permission to court her. And, like a big boy, he did it without bursting into tears or falling on the floor in a tantrum, which is a big step forward for Kyle! Victor wasn’t appeased. Neither were we because we think we know what Kyle is really plotting.
A Dish Best Served Cold
Was it only a few months ago when Victor (Eric Braeden) loved Kyle (Michael Mealor)? Victor loved Kyle so much that he handed Kyle and Audra (Zuleyka Silver) a whole company to run—as long as Kyle would use it to destroy his own father. Victor, of course, was using Kyle. Victor is always using Kyle. And Kyle falls for it. Every. Single. Time.

Diane (Susan Walters) and Jack (Peter Bergman) were so tired of their son being an idiot that they staged a whole breakup to fool Victor into giving Diane the company he’d promised Kyle and firing Kyle—in the most humiliating manner possible. Now Victor is mad at Diane and Jack. How dare they outsmart him? Nobody does that! Nobody! You got that?
But what Victor doesn’t realize is that Kyle is just as mad at him. And, for the first time, in his life, Kyle is going to do something about it.

Take That
Kyle knows how much Victor hates losing. But, at least, he now realizes he isn’t smart enough to take on Victor in the business world. He’s going to leave that to his dad.
But Kyle knows he can still hit Victor one place where it hurts…by turning Claire (Hayley Erin) against him. Victor just got Claire back. He hasn’t had a lifetime to brainwash and gaslight her into thinking her grandpa is always right. Which means Kyle has a chance to drive a wedge between them. A permanent one. And he’s going to do it. No one outsmarts Kyle Abbott! Anymore.
