They say that a change is as good as a rest. And if that’s truly the case, then Michelle Stafford, amateur hairdresser, and star of The Young and the Restless can count herself rested.

It’s been a long time since Stafford joined her fans on an Instagram live stream, and that’s something that she wanted to rectify in the wee small hours of Tuesday morning. And what better way to do so than invite everyone over to witness her attempt a masterful feat – the at-home haircut!
At the top of the video, the actress laid down a few simple rules: no comments of a sexual nature please, and let’s avoid more sensitive – and divisive – topics like COVID-19, masks, and politics.
This was intended to be a fun, if not informative, tutorial on how to give oneself “curtain bangs,” and boy did Stafford deliver!

Back and up went the locks of hair that the YR star didn’t want to shorn – she’s not crazy or brave enough to chop it all off. After all, she’s a contracted actor who’s technically not even supposed to be taking a bit of length off the top without prior permission from an executive producer…but she’s sure she can keep it between herself and few hundred followers!
With the prep-work complete, Stafford went in for the cut. But first, she issued a call to any professional stylists that might actually be watching her endeavor. Would one of them kindly come on and just guide her through the process?
Enter Linda, a mega-fan of the performer, and of the performer’s skincare line Skin Nation. She guided Stafford through the “ends” and outs of bang snipping, and wound up receiving a promise of very special compensation!
