Miles Gaston Villanueva, who played Summer’s bad boy boyfriend Luca Santori on The Young and the Restless, continues to be one of Genoa City’s busiest alumni.
Deadline reports that Villanueva has landed a heavily recurring role on the Fox series The Resident, currently in its second season. He’ll be playing the part of Alec, who’s described as a “loner and iconoclast, who has spent a lifetime on the move.”
Watch for the charming Alec to be caring and kind with his patients but rather curt with everyone else around him.
There are already a few familiar faces to soap fans in the cast. Melina Kanakaredes (ex-Eleni, Guiding Light) and Emily VanCamp (ex-Emily, Revenge) star as Dr. Lane Hunter and Nicolette Nevin, a nurse practitioner.
Since checking out of Genoa City, Villanueva has appeared on Jane the Virgin, For The People, and Law & Order True Crime: The Menendez Murders.
