Devon and Elena’s romance may eventually face a threat from Amanda, the twin look-alike of his late wife, Hilary, on The Young and the Restless. Off-screen, however, Bryton James and Brytni Sarpy, Devon and Elena’s portrayers, are going strong and steady.

The pair who have shared their relationship via their own personal Instagram accounts recently posted that they are celebrating their one-year anniversary of being together.
“Feels like forever and just yesterday at the same damned time…” Sarpy posted on social media. “Happy 1-year @brytonejames.” Her boyfriend got in on the action and said: “To spend one with the One, feels like I’ve won..” Bryton James posted in return.
YR pals including Loren Lott (ex-Ana), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea), and Melissa Ordway (Abby) all chimed in with cheers and “heart” symbols in support of the loving couple.

The pair isn’t the first couple on soaps to share reel and real-life together. On YR, Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) met her husband Edward (now, The Bold and the Beautiful’s Supervising Producer) when he was a producer at The Young and the Restless.
Former All My Children stars Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos (ex-Hayley and ex-Mateo) met when he was cast on the ABC serial. Another World stars Mary Page Keller (ex-Sally) and Thomas Ian Griffth (ex-Catlin) met on the NBC soap and wed in real-life.
And, of course, there’s Bill and Susan Seaforth Hayes, Days of our Lives’ Doug and Julie, who met on the NBC daytime serial and wed in real-life in 1974. Two years later, the show’s scribes had the couple wed on-screen.
