Shemar Moore Remembers His Late Mother
Moore took to Instagram today in order to pay tribute to the woman who birthed him – the occasion, a particularly poignant one. As the actor explained in his post – which accompanied a picture of him standing above a plaque bearing the date 1-26-20 – “This stone at my feet is placed in the exact spot where my mother stood on 1-26-20 the night I signed the offer for my new home… it was the last time I saw her in person…

Marylin Joan Wilson-Moore passed away on February 9, 2020. Moore revealed the news on social media with a statement that read in part, “I miss her more than I ever thought possible and I don’t know how to do this life without her…but I get my STRENGTH from her and I will be OK because of HER.”
Shemar Moore founded Baby Girl LLC, an online retail company that donates a significant portion of its profits to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society – multiple sclerosis being the disease from which his mother suffered until her death.
