Shemar Moore reprised his role as Malcolm for two episodes this week on The Young and the Restless to pay tribute to Malcolm’s TV brother Neil Winters. But that’s not the end of his appearances. Moore is set to make two more on the CBS Daytime lineup.

On Friday, Moore was set to appear on The Talk along with Victoria Rowell (ex-Dru), Bryton James (Devon), and Christel Khalil (Lily) to share memories of their late friend and co-star. And on Monday, April 29, Moore will appear in a special episode of Y&R that breaks the fourth wall.

According to a recent interview, Moore talked about the man he describes as mentor, friend, therapist, and brother.

“On April 6, 1994 at my [screentest], myself and five other guys did two scenes with Kristoff,” Moore recalls. “I found out [very soon after] that I got the job. What I didn’t know till a week or two later was that [Y&R creator] Bill Bell had turned to Kristoff sand said, ‘Who do you like?’ He said, ‘I want the scared kid in the baseball cap to play my younger brother.’ If he hadn’t picked me that day, I’d have a life but not this life.”

The actor says he’ll honor St. John’s memory by living life to the fullest and living up to the encouragement that he gave him. “He was the biggest goofball I ever knew,” Moore adds. “I’ve lost a brother, a mentor, a safety net. But he believed in me and told me I could be strong and that I could fly. He’s in heaven now. I’m going to keep flying for myself and him.”

The Young and the Restless airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
