Jade Harlow is loving her new role on The Young and the Restless. The former Passions actress is making waves as Genoa City newcomer and Nick’s new pal, Marie. One of the things Harlow loves about her new gig is her co-star, Joshua Morrow.

Key Takeaways

  • Harlow recently made her debut as Marie.
  • Marie is being teased as a new love interest for Nick.
  • Harlow is enjoying Marie’s storyline and working with Morrow.

Jade Harlow Is Impressed By Joshua Morrow’s Work

Throughout her years in the soap opera world, Harlow has worked with many great talents. From Passions’ Kim Johnston Ulrich to Days of Our Lives’ Lauren Koslow, she’s shared the screen with top names.

Now, she’s going to be working with many more legendary soap stars now that she’s on Y&R. Among them is Morrow, who plays Marie’s new friend/potential love interest, Nick.

”He’s a dream partner,” Harlow told Soap Central. “He is light, funny, professional, and supportive. And there’s just a level of care he has for everyone.”

Morrow’s character Nick is in a gripping storyline as he battles drug addiction. With Harlow’s Marie now involved in Nick’s story, the actress has seen first-hand some of Morrow’s amazing performances.

”Joshua has this ability to bring everyone around him together with a spirit of, ‘We’re going to bang this out. It’s going to be great!’ After all these years of him being on the show with huge volumes of material and emotional weight, he manages to bring that magic.”

Nick and Marie Hit Rock Bottom

After fleeing rehab, Nick found himself at a motel where he met Marie, a fellow addict. The two formed an instant connection, but their passionate night almost led to tragedy when Marie overdosed.

Marie’s overdose and Nick’s nightmare gave him the wake-up call he needed. Nick seems ready to get help, and so does Marie.

The pair took their first step in getting healthy by checking into rehab. Although things are going in the right direction for the pair, the road to sobriety won’t be easy, and there’s a chance one or both could relapse.

The biggest test for them will be once they leave rehab. Matt’s (Roger Howarth) presence will continue to anger Nick, who might start using again to cope with his problems.

As for Marie, there’s still more to uncover about her history. She did mention she had a husband, and if he pops up in Genoa City, secrets about her former life could come out, leading to her relapse.
