Alicia Coppola has been cast opposite some pretty powerful men! In Genoa City, she played Meredith Gates, the doctor who aided Victor when was in jail on The Young and the Restless.
Now, according to Entertainment Weekly, Coppola (best known to soap fans as Lorna on Another World) will be working with Kiefer Sutherland on ABC’s Designated Survivor, which returns on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10 p.m.

Sutherland plays United States President Tom Kirkman, who will have his work cut out for him as he tries to guide the country through anti-government attacks.

No word yet on who Coppola will play, but as indicated in the photo below it appears as if she’s some sort of ally to the most powerful man in the world.
Her character seems to be holding a device that may be relaying some important info to President Kirkman. McKenna Grace (ex-Faith, Y&R) has appeared on the show, too, playing Sutherland’s daughter.
