Michael spent most of the February 19 episode of The Young and the Restless reassuring his wife that working for Victor was a net positive good and that he only breaks a few laws a day to make that happen, so, really, she should be happy with it. Or, at the very least, okay with it. Did Lauren look okay with it? Not to us. Which makes us think Michael’s better half is hatching a plan.
The Girl She Used To Be
These days, Lauren (Tracey Bregman) mostly nods in support of Michael’s (Christian Le Blanc, who had some issues upon his return) latest assignment for Victor (Eric Braeden) while making faces that suggest she isn’t one hundred percent on board.

Unemployment Line
Lauren loves her husband. She knows that Victor treats Michael horribly, even when he doesn’t.

Insider Information
Lauren wants Michael to stop working for Victor. And the best way to do that is to make sure that Victor can never trust Michael again—for good this time. The best way to do that is to set Michael up to betray Victor by sneaking details about Victor’s latest scheme to Lauren’s good friend, Jack (Peter Bergman).
Victor will blame Michael, and they will break up for good. Sure, Michael will be mad. This is why Lauren must ensure he never finds out she is behind it. The old Lauren could pull that off without breaking a sweat.
