Recently on The Young and the Restless, Mariah and Tessa became mothers. Now, we didn’t get to see the baby on-screen yet, but Mariah told Sharon all about it. Now, actress Camryn Grimes reveals to Soap Hub some exciting news that fans will love to hear.
Camryn Grimes Gives ‘Teriah’ Baby Update
While viewers are thrilled with the news that Mariah and Tessa’s (Cait Fairbanks) adoption actually happened, they were bummed about not seeing any of the heartwarming moments on-screen. Grimes recently gave Soap Hub the information you want to know about the near future with their bundle of joy.
“Oh, you’re Yeah, you’re going to get to see a baby and those moments that you, that the fans are wanting and that the audience is wanting of celebration are going to come,” Grimes reveals. “So you’re going to see them.”
As for becoming a mom onscreen, the actress notes that it’s natural for her. “I have wanted to be a mom for my entire life. I want to be a mom so bad, so there’s really not a lot of [work I had to do to prepare for Mariah’s motherhood]. I love babies.”

Of course, having a baby on set brings up some things for the recently engaged Grimes. “Now, the worry is that holding a baby and sniffing that little baby head is going to put my ovaries into overdrive, and there’s just gonna be babies everywhere.
“I literally just got to hold our baby for the first time, and the school teacher who comes with all the kids, who — fun fact — is actually my school teacher and Bryton’s [James, Devon] school teacher, we were younger, had to remind me that I had to give the baby back to the mother,” she excitedly notes.
“So I’m, I’m very excited to go to work every day. Try to take the baby out of my hands.”
Grimes has already shot scenes with the baby, so you shouldn’t have to wait too long to see the new family of three in Genoa City.
