On the May 28 episode of The Young and the Restless, Kyle was incensed that Jack could be so polite to Victoria, while her father had done so many horrible things to the Abbotts. Jack tried to remain calm while Kyle threw one of his patented temper tantrums. Jack counseled empathy, while Kyle wanted revenge. Given what happened to Nick in the same episode, we wonder whether Kyle will use Nick’s near-tragedy to show Victor how angry Kyle is with him.

Key Takeaways

  • Nick almost died from an overdose.
  • Jack told Kyle that some things are worse than losing a company.
  • Kyle isn’t very bright; he’ll put two and two together and.

Nick’s Overdose Exposed Victor’s Greatest Fear

Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) would have died from a drug overdose if Matt (Roger Howarth) and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) hadn’t jumped in to perform CPR. Victor (Eric Braeden) stood to the side, reminding Nick that he was Victor’s son, and he wouldn’t do something as rebellious as die on him.

The paramedics took Nick to the hospital, so the hope is he’ll finally get the treatment he needs.

Kyle May Finally Understand How to Hurt Victor

But what if Kyle (Michael Mealor) takes Jack’s (Peter Bergman) words to heart? What if he believes what his dad said about losing a child being worse than losing a company?

Kyle wants Victor to suffer. Losing Newman Enterprises isn’t enough. But losing Nick? Now that could be the kind of pain that Kyle actually wants Victor to suffer…

Would Kyle Cross a Line Even Jack Couldn’t Defend?

Nick can go into rehab, and Nick can want to get clean. But would Nick be able to resist if someone were to sneak drugs to him? Someone like, oh, say, Kyle?

Kyle thinks he’s a ruthless businessman. He’s never done anything close to that, which succeeded. Could this be his chance to prove he’s not just a spoiled, nepo baby?
