UPDATE: According to his mother, Max Page would love to hear from his friends and fans while he is recovering in the hospital. The address to which you can send your letters is:
Max Page, Room 234
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
4650 Sunset Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90027
The young actor who played Reed on The Young and the Restless is in need of some thoughts and prayers, according to a tweet from his former on-screen mom Amelia Heinle.
Max Page, who played Heinle’s character’s son from 2009 until 2015 has had about a dozen heart surgeries in his young life.
According to an article in the OC Register from February of last year, the actor had his first surgery when he was only three months old for a condition called congenital heart disease and conduit stenosis.
While soap opera fans know him from The Young and the Restless, most of the world knows him as the little boy in the 2011 Volkswagen commercial during the Super Bowl, who dressed up like Darth Vader and was able to “use the force” to turn the car on, scaring himself.
That one commercial brought him instant fame — and many opportunities. In December of 2015, he was hired as a correspondent for Inside Edition on the red-carpet premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, where he got an autograph from James Earl Jones on his Darth Vader mask.
He also asked Harrison Ford how he was doing. According to the article, the actor grinned, “You did great, kid. I see bright things in your future.”
Soap Hub sends its thoughts and prayers to Page and his family. We hope the doctors are able to help him just as much as Heinle does.
