The Young and the Restless fans hoped that the surprise guest Chelsea encountered at Adam’s memorial was going to be Adam himself. Alas, it wasn’t but that doesn’t mean Victor’s son is truly dead.

Do you think Adam’s off somewhere in hiding, waiting to make his miraculous return? Soap Hub asked Y&R fans if they think this is a possibility.

Back From The Dead
A solid 76% of you believe that yes, Adam is alive. Sure, there was that nasty cabin explosion a while back in which he presumably perished, but Adam’s body wasn’t found.

He could have been rescued after Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) drugged him, knocking him out. Perhaps Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) went running into a cabin that was totally empty. Adam may be alive, waiting to make his grand re-entrance another day.

Boom!
The rest of you, 24%, believe that Adam’s a goner. Could anyone really come back from the dead on Y&R a soap that doesn’t usually employ this particular soap fix?

What do you think? Post a comment!

As Justin Hartley (ex-Adam) isn’t likely to be available anytime soon to reprise Adam given the runaway success of This Is Us, the Y&R writers would probably have to explain a change in appearance by saying Adam had to get plastic surgery. Which they’ve already done once before – would it be believable again?

Never Say Die
Ultimately, we think Adam will be back. He’s got two sons (Connor and Christian) to help raise, the latter of whom he’ll fight Nick (Joshua Morrow) for custody. The show can figure out those plastic surgery (or not) logistics later.

It’s a two-for-one deal by bringing Adam back; not only will the show gain an antagonist for the canvas, but this will mean that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) did not have a hand in his death (because he’ll be alive)! Otherwise, Chloe should be imprisoned for her actions.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for airtimes.
