Sally got a major surprise on the October 8 episode of The Young and the Restless when her baby sister, Coco, popped up from LA. Sally urged her sister to move to Genoa City and work for her. Here’s why we think that could be an excellent idea.
Key Takeaways
- Coco only has one blood relative in Genoa City, which means she could be paired with practically anyone.
- Coco could fill out the very, very thin twentysomething demographic.
- Sally will need her family around her when Billy inevitably screws up yet again.
Coco Could Shake Up Genoa City’s Very Tangled Dating Pool
The biggest problem every soap eventually faces is that there has been so much mixing that everybody ends up related to everybody else. This really limits dating opportunities. Everyone in Genoa City is either an Abbott, a Newman, or Winters-adjacent.
Coco (Ashley Campbell) would be none of those things. She is Sally’s (Courtney Hope, who did this for Sally’s wedding) sister — and nothing else. (At least, we hope not.) That means she is available to a wide cross-section of people.
We’ve Got Restless, Where is Young?
With Connor (Judah Mackey), Johnny (Paxton Mishkind), and Katie (Sienna Mecuri) away at boarding school, and Christian invisible, there are no teenagers in Genoa City. And the younger generation is pretty thin on the ground. Coco would make a great addition.
She could battle Claire (Hayley Erin) for Holden (Nathan Owens). She could come between Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks). She could even catch Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) eye, or a back-to-town Charlie… or Mattie. So much potential!
Sally May Need Her Sister More Than Ever When Billy Lets Her Down
Sally has great friends in Audra (Zuleyka Silver) and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan). But family is different. She can’t confide in either of those women about Adam (Mark Grossman). And we think she’ll need to. Soon. Coco would be better for that.
