When it comes to The Young and the Restless, every fan has their own opinion – and Soap Hub is no different. For five days we sat and watched the good, the bad, and everything in between, and now we offer you a handy review, and a cheeky critique, of YR’s week that was.
The Young and the Restless: A Critic’s Week In Review
It was a mere two weeks ago that we were questioning whether or not Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) was actually the big bad of this storyline; and this week, she has done nothing to dissuade us of this notion.
She was clearly intrigued by Sally’s (Courtney Hope) offer to team up against Summer (Hunter King), and she wasn’t the least bit happy with the news concerning Summer and Kyle’s (Michael Mealor) impending nuptials.
Also, were we the only ones who noticed she didn’t answer Summer’s pointed question about whether she would have acquiesced to Ashland’s (initial) outrageous custody demand in order to reap the monetary benefits?
She did seem awfully concerned about the fact that she would be getting bubkes per her divorce settlement, and she was quick with the argument that had she and Kyle not had the affair, then Harrison wouldn’t be around for Ashland to parent.
Further YR Musings
* Wait, did our eyes and ears just deceive us, or did Adam (Mark Grossman) actually act honorably, and attempt to force Victor (Eric Braeden) to act in a likewise fashion? Perhaps the new and improved Adam is indeed here to stay.

* If Michael (Christian Le Blanc) is so concerned that Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) might have been Chelsea’s (Melissa Claire Egan) partner-in-crime, why even bring it up to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso)? Couldn’t he have just shared his theory that Chelsea is faking her mental breakdown in order to avoid a prison sentence?
* So, we were pretty certain that YR was gearing up for an Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose), Nate (Sean Dominic), Elena (Brytni Sarpy) love triangle, and then Elena wound up getting an out of state job offer…are we looking at yet another missed opportunity folks?
* Since most of Amanda’s (Misael Morgan) storyline is taking place off-screen, can we just go ahead and assume that, rather than obvious suspects Sutton (Jack Landron) and Naya (Ptosha Storey), it was actually Naya’s never before seen, but sometimes mentioned, husband, Eric, who killed Richard?
* Victoria to Nikki: “So you have a problem with Ashland Locke, have you seen who you’ve been married to for the past several decades? ….You of all people know how painful the end of a marriage can be.”
Boy, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) sure did tell her mother all about herself, huh? And Nikki did not like having those truths hurled in her face, huh? The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
