Family means everything to Victor on The Young and the Restless (YR). He loves his children and grandchildren so much, that he’s announced his attention to sue Nick (Joshua Morrow) for custody of Christian.
This is after dropping the bombshell that Nick isn’t Christian’s biological father, his brother, Adam, was.
Because he was mad at Nick for not wanting to work at Newman Enterprises after Nick learned Victor (Eric Braeden) was using Nick to chastise Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Abby (Melissa Ordway). Family means everything to Victor.
Should Nick cut his loving dad off at the knees by adopting Christian? Here’s what over 9,000 viewers had to say about it:
Nick is Christian’s biological uncle, he’s raised the tot ever since he got him back from Sharon (Sharon Case), and Adam even said he wanted Nick to raise Christian. But Victor plays dirty. And Victor doesn’t play.
Just to be safe, Nick should definitely adopt the boy, 95% of you agree. Except, who would give permission? Christian’s mom, Sage (Kelly Sullivan), is dead. So is Adam – allegedly.
Christian is officially an orphan, and Nick is as much of a blood relative as Victor. Plus, all the other stuff we mentioned. Then again… Victor.

Hands Off
You can’t just go around adopting random kids, 4% of the audience points out. If Nick rushes to make this happen, he might not cross all his T’s and dot all his I’s, and you know Victor will take advantage of that.
Nick might be better off going to court, and proving, once and for all, that he’s the better guardian.
Hey, here’s an idea, maybe he could provide evidence that Victor was responsible for Adam’s death – via the not-nearly-as-dead Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) – and kill two birds with one stone. Get Christian… and get Victor, too.
