Is There a Chance? Could Jack Really Be Chancellor on The Young and the Restless (YR)?

The Young and the Restless (YR) fans have known for decades that Ashley wasn’t John’s biological child, but now it seems that Jack isn’t, either! (Traci should stand by to see what happens in another 25 years.)

Ashley (Eileen Davidson) learned that her mother’s affair with a tennis pro named Brent Davis let to her conception (and then a very confusing plot about Brent’s stepson seeking revenge on the Abbotts by manipulative a dementia-stricken Dina).

But, Jack (Peter Bergman) isn’t quite as lucky(?). Dina (Marla Adams) can’t seem to recall his biological father’s name… oh, come on, there were so many men, who can be expected to keep track?

Maybe that’s why she began keeping a journal? Unfortunately, the pages relating to Jack’s possible daddy have been ripped out.

Jack found a photo of Phillip Chancellor in Dina’s abandoned safety deposit box and decided he must be the one. Do you agree? Here’s how almost 9,000 feel about the possibility:

A Good Chance
It makes sense, 62% of you agree. Dina seriously slept around, and her friend, Kay’s (Jeanne Cooper), husband wouldn’t have been outside the realm of possibility. Phillip Chancellor being Jack’s father is better than some total stranger, and, as far as you can tell, it wouldn’t make any of Jack’s past relationships icky.

What do you think? Post a comment!

Sure, Jack slept with Jill (Jess Walton), and so did Phillip. But, then again, so did Jack’s presumed dad, John.

Phillip, as far as we know, had only one other child, Phillip, and one grandchild, also named Phillip – called Chance during the brief time we knew him. The family was not very creative with names. So as long as Jack and his sons, Keemo and Kyle (Michael Mealor) stay away from them, it should be no harm done.

Bad Chance
No, 38% howl. Jack is an Abbott. The sooner that’s fixed and this story is over, the better.
