Neither knew the other was coming. Douglas had the Newmans’ love theme ‘Through The Eyes Of Love’ play, prompting Victor and Nikki to dance to the tune — just as they had at their wedding.
Tragedy
Pregnant with Jack’s (Peter Bergman) baby, Nikki was alone with Victor when the two argued over their daughter Victoria.
Nikki was pushed back into the wall along the staircase during their heated talk. She was fine when Victor left – or so it seemed. Nikki then went into premature labor and, sadly, her baby boy did not survive.
I Object
Nikki fell for handsome Brad Carlton (Don Diamont), The couple was all set to wed, but after learning Victor had been shot, Nikki stopped the ceremony and raced to her ex’s side. Brad found out the hard way what viewers already knew – Victor comes first!
Quickie Marriage
Nikki was shot after her deranged maid ‘Sarah’ (aka Veronica Landers, played by the late Candice Daily) fatally shot Nikki’s husband (and Veronica’s ex) Dr. Joshua Landers (Heath Kizzier) and then turned the gun on Nikki.

Victor asked his bride Diane (Alex Donnelley) to grant him a divorce so he could marry a dying Nikki. Diane agreed, but Nikki, once she became Mrs. Victor Newman again, found the will to live!
