On The Young and the Restless (YR), Victor Newman is a real pro at creating empires, devouring his enemies — and driving his family away from him!
Victor (Eric Braeden) is once again on the outs with most of his family, given his controlling ways, but one clan member just might melt the mogul’s heart and get him to curb his ruthless ways — and that’s his granddaughter Faith.
Faith Can Move Mountains
Soap Hub asked if Victor’s controlling nature can be curbed and the good news is that not only do the majority of you, a bit over 55%, think that not only can Victor change — but that Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) is the person to do it!
There’s nothing quite like the wisdom of a child, who’s old enough to know what’s going on but is also still young enough not to be jaded in life, to give some insights to the grownups.
Victor’s attached to his granddaughter and is vested in making her an ally in his plans, so she’s important to him. She has not only his ear but also his heart — there are few people whom Victor can’t say no to and Faith is tops on the list!

Old Habits Die Hard
The rest of you, just under 45%, are jaded and you think Victor will never change. And that’s certainly valid. How many times has Victor told Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and his kids that he only has their best interests at heart only to revert back to his stance of wanting the final word?
Years ago, Victor was visited by ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future just like Scrooge was in the Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol.
And Victor did change — but his changes never seem to last. Might Faith succeed where loved ones from the past have failed in getting Victor to be less controlling? Stay tuned to find out!
