Two things can take an actress off the canvas from their current soap — pregnancy and a pilot for a new television series. For one star of The Young and the Restless (YR) — it was both.
Camryn Grimes (Mariah) had these two things going on earlier this year (sort of), but neither have lessened her air time in Genoa City!
The actress, an Emmy winner for her role as Mariah’s twin Cassie, posted an Instagram photo (see below) that showed her both working on a new show and being “pregnant!”
The Get
The pilot Grimes worked on is titled The Get, which stars Amy Brenneman (Chasing Amy; Private Practice), as a woman, who is described by Deadline as a steely and determined investigative journalist who pushes boundaries in order to get to the truth.

The pilot’s cast also included Brad Garrett (Everybody Loves Raymond) and, according to her social media post from Sept. 7, Grimes as a woman who is clearly pregnant!
In her post, Grimes says she has hope that the pilot might be picked up for a series, and in May Deadline speculated this would be a possibility but there’s been no word since.
If The Get does get picked up by CBS, Grimes’ fans will likely hope that she does double duty on the network so she can continue playing Mariah!
