Burgess Jenkins left his role as Billy Abbott on The Young and the Restless in early 2016, but he didn’t walk away from acting. The former Genoa City resident has landed a new movie role!
No word on when Jenkins‘ film will premiere, but Soap Hub is predicting a December release as it’s titled Christmas On The Coast!

The movie stars Julie Ann Emery (Better Call Saul) as a romance novelist who returns home to write a novel after sales start to slip on her existing work. Jenkins’ character is named Brysen Flynn. Will romance spark between the two? Don’t be surprised if it does! Also in the cast is Bonnie Bedelia (Parenthood).

Christmas on the Coast was filmed on the coast of Georgia and, according to Gary Wheeler, Vice President of Original Movies for INSP, it “reminds us to take stock of those things in life that are truly important, and to let go of what isn’t.”
