For years, Bridget was believed to be the daughter of Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) and Ridge (Thorsten Kaye; previously, Ronn Moss). In fact, her name — Bridget — is a combination of the names of “Brooke” and “Ridge.”
But Brooke had also had relations with her husband Eric (John McCook) around this time and right before Ridge and Brooke were going to be married a mysterious letter appeared calling Bridget’s paternity into question.
Another round of blood tests were conducted and it was revealed that Eric — not Ridge — was the child’s dad.
Bridget (Agnes Bruckner) went from being confused about all the inter-family romances to exposing them. She attempted to ruin Thorne (Ingo Rademacher; previously, Winsor Harmon) and Brooke’s relationship by shining a light on Thorne kissing Kimberly Fairchild (Ashley Lyn Cafagna).

After she turned 18, Bridget (Jennifer Finnigan, who won three Daytime Emmys for playing the role) fell for bad boy Deacon Sharp (Sean Kanan), who betrayed her by having an affair with Brooke. That affair resulted in Brooke becoming pregnant with Hope (Annika Noelle). Learning her mother was pregnant with her husband’s child drove a wedge between the two women for quite some time.
After the “death” of Ridge’s wife Taylor (Hunter Tylo), Bridget grew close to Ridge and helped him with his three children. Bridget surprised many — including herself — by becoming attracted to Ridge after learning that they were not blood-related.
