Soaps would be pretty boring if everyone just got along all the time.
Fights are part and parcel of the daytime drama experience, whether its fisticuffs like The Bold and the Beautiful’s Quinn and Sheila, a single smack like Sami going after Susan on Days Of Our Lives, or just verbal fireworks like Victor and Nikki every time they’re in the same room together on The Young and the Restless.
Do fans want to see and hear more raised voices and fists flying — or less? Over 3,000 went to the mat for their opinions!
Oh, The Drama…
Bring it, cheer 53% of you! Nothing brings the drama like a good fight. What would General Hospital (GH) be without Sonny (Maurice Benard) taking turns telling various family members how they betrayed him and then smashing glassware?
Or B&B’s Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) breaking up with yet another man? Or Y&R’s Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Abby (Melissa Ordway) sniping at each other over whom Daddy really loves best?
Or Rafe (Galen Garing) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) having yet another tense conversation about why they aren’t married yet on DAYS? Without fights, there’d be nothing to watch!

Favorite Fall Out
On the other hand, 47% of you can’t stand it when your favorite couples fight. That’s not the love affair you signed up for!
If you believe DAYS’ Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) is Sami’s One True Pairing, you don’t want to watch him railing about how trying to trick Will (Chandler Massey) into remembering his past is the worst thing she’s ever done (though he has a point).
You want to watch Y&R’s Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) frolicking, not fighting! Enough is enough!
