The nature of daytime’s every-weekday, all-year-long schedule often means turnover for actors and actresses, which can be rough on soap opera fans.

Tragic Mother
On Days of Our Lives (DOOL) Nicole (Arianne Zucker) finally became a mom after so long. It should’ve been a beautiful, happy time for her as well as for fans. Instead, Nicole has suffered nothing but heartache since before Holly’s birth and big parentage surprise!
Unfortunately, now, not only do fans feel Nicole’s pain, but also their own pain at seeing such a favorite leave.
Arianne Zucker already finished her filming, and her portrayal of Nicole will end later in 2017. This is such a terrible blow for fans, but it is the most difficult loss?
Mother (Not?) to Be
Speaking of difficult, recently hearing that General Hospital (GH) star Rebecca Budig (Hayden) was axed still has fans reeling. She had at least two years left on a four-year contract, but the powers that be let her go.

Right now in Port Charles Hayden is struggling with an unplanned pregnancy. However, she and Finn (Michael Easton) are huge fan favorites, and for her to leave so suddenly is a massive shock!
In fact, the news of her hurried exit has fans bemoaning the shocking return of veteran actor Steve Burton. Many would rather see her stay than him return if that is the choice. Could the loss of Budig be daytime’s toughest most recent exit?
Almost Had it All
On The Young and the Restless (YR), Kevin (Greg Rikaart) nearly had it all for a moment. Well, that is if you think having it all is marrying his psycho ex-wife. Of course, he did find out that Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) child, Bella, was his.
Unfortunately, after 14 years on the show, he’s out all of the sudden. While Rikaart appears open to the possibility to return, the way the show is going, that isn’t looking as likely as it once might have.
One thing is certain, though. His departure is painful for fans who have grown to love him over the years.
