Fabulous Birthdays!
Several soap stars from Days of our Lives (DOOL), The Young and the Restless (YR), and General Hospital celebrated birthdays this past week including two fan favorites from GH who share the same birthdate.
Over at YR, a longtime soap vet (who did double duty earlier this year on two soaps) celebrated a huge milestone. The bday festivities continued with the birthday of another longtime soap star who appeared in beloved sudsers from days gone by.
Comings and Goings
From Mishael Morgan’s sudden exit at The Young and the Restless to Bryan Dattilo’s jaw-dropping Twitter announcement on his leave from Days of our Lives after 25 years, it was a week of shocking cast farewells.
Dattilo’s exit wasn’t the only one that sent fans reeling. At the beginning of the week, DOOL’s Christopher Sean broke his silence to explain his reasons for leaving Salem. While it’s sad to see Sean and Dattilo quit the soap, fans have reason to be thrilled because Jack is back and he is going to stay in Salem!
At GH, it appears a longtime fan favorite is also packing up and moving out. Hopefully, she’ll return once again to help her mother who is neck deep in some scary business!
Shocking News
The soap world was jolted awake earlier this week when Patrika Darbo broke her silence on the Emmy situation. That led to another daytime star addressing the Emmy’s handling of the winner selection.

Elsewhere, a former soap star and her family were assaulted in a harrowing traffic incident. Shockingly, the altercation was caught on tape! Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt in the heated exchange.
In the meantime, Emme Rylan’s (Lulu, General Hospital, ex Abby, The Young and the Restless) journey to lose her pregnancy weight paid off. The talented actress revealed a stunning before and after photo a year after giving birth. At DAYS, a darling fan fave annouced she is part of an exciting project that takes her worlds away from the daytime sudser.
The week ended with Y&R newcomer Abhi Sinha (Ravi) reavealing a devestating loss when his dog died. The actor chronicled his canine’s last days in a bittersweet social media post.
