Romance is everything on a soap opera, but not everyone can be made happy. Love triangles usually end up leaving someone out in the cold.
There are those who doing the loving and those who wield the heart-crushing blow. Here are some current heartbreakers.
Days of Our Lives (DOOL)
One of the strongest couplings in recent years on DAYS has been Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby. But when Abby faked her death, Chad fell hard for her best friend Gabi.
Chad chose his wife and broke Gabi’s heart. But, it was obvious he was hurting, which in turn hurt Abby and broke her heart too. What’s a guy in demand supposed to do?
The Young and the Restless (YR)
Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) wanted to believe she could live a happy life with Kevin – once she did away with the man who killed her daughter and destroyed her life. She almost got away with it, as she mended most of her relationships.
Once the truth came out, Chloe went on the run. The truth broke her best friend’s heart, leaving broke Kevin’s and her mother’s hearts, and when she is old enough to realize, it will also break her daughter’s.

General Hospital (GH)
Anna (Finola Hughes) has always been a gorgeous and mysterious spy, and this fact wasn’t lost on a young Valentin Cassadine – back in their WSB training days. He was enamored of her only to have her break his heart.
Anna’s never one to do anything half way. Apparently breaking his heart wasn’t enough – she ordered his death, as well. Now she’s worming her way back into his heart – with the intent of breaking it again as she gets the goods on him.
The Bold and the Beautiful (BB)
Oh, Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood). She is her own special kind of magic, breaking one brother’s heart, then the other – and then she has to go back and break ‘em again.
She is a one-woman wrecking crew when it comes to Spencer men. Did we mention she’s even had a flirtation with their dad? Now, Steffy is married to Liam. Again. But is she destined to break his heart? Again. Time will tell.
