Soap opera kids have always been there to lend a hand and mess up their parents’ love lives. Sometimes they can be little monsters and other times they may actually be right. But, that doesn’t mean they should be calling all the shots in the adults’ lives, right?
The Young and the Restless (YR)
While all the other young brats in this list conspired to get their parents back together, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) couldn’t care less about that. In fact, he’s rather fond of his mother’s more recent ex-husband, Billy. 4
But what lands Reed on this list is the fact he stole his mother’s credit card to buy Internet porn. Oh how our soap kids have evolved over the years with technology. He’s also been caught sneaking out of the house (well, he didn’t actually get caught until the next day) to perform at a bar’s open mic night. Oh Reed…
General Hospital (GH)
Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) was going gangbusters on today’s GH, ripping into her mother about her marriage. Not that it was anything new, but the way she harped on her mother to divorce her stepfather was really crossing a line in the way a kid should be speaking to her mother. Not that what she said was necessarily wrong – it’s understandable she wouldn’t want the mother to stay with a man who cheated and lied to her. But Joss should focus more on her schoolwork than fixing her mother’s love life.

Days of Our Lives (DOOL)
Claire (Olivia Rose Keegan) also butt into her parents’ marriage but luckily for her – it worked and they reunited. So did her bratty behavior end? No, she just changed the focus – and decided she was all about her music career rather than staying in school. Luckily, her parents managed a compromise that got her back in school for now while they’re off living the dream overseas.
The Bold and the Beautiful (BB)
When RJ (Anthony Turpel) puts his mind to something, there’s no stopping him. Ask his last bit of road kill – Dollar Bill Spencer! RJ was so determined to reunite his parents, Brooke and Ridge, that he torpedoed the relationship his mother was having with Bill – never mind that he was the one her mother loved and wanted to spend the rest of her life with, right?
Nah, RJ deserves for everyone to stop what they’re doing and change their lives to make him happy. Be careful, kid. Your parents may turn the tables and get in the way of your budding romance!
