The classic “who’s your daddy” storyline is a soap opera mainstay. In fact, it’s so common that often it’s tough to ever truly believe a character’s true parentage because that can change on a dime — sometimes even years or decades later!

Who’s Your Daddy and … Mommy?
The Young and the Restless (YR) has had many shocking paternity scandals over the years. Both Summer (Hunter King) and Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) weren’t always who they appeared to be early on.
Very recently, even Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) daughter, Bella, had uncertain origins. However, there’s one Newman child whose parentage scandal involved not just a dad but also a mom! That one was tough to pull off.
Christian Newman aka Sully McAvoy is one of the most shocking baby daddy (and mommy) drama to ever rock Genoa City!
Because of a decades-long quest for revenge, a doctor ( who had a crush on Nick when she was a teenager, but was rejected) manipulated Sharon (Sharon Case) into believing she was pregnant with Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton) child.
However, the baby was Sage Newman’s (Kelly Sullivan’s baby and made Sharon believe he was hers).
Twins With Two Daddies!
Perhaps one of the most unusual baby daddy dramas occurred on Days of Our Lives (DOOL) when Sami (Allison Sweeney) gave birth to twins Allie and Johnny in 2007. In a long-shot one in a million chance, these fraternal had two DIFFERENT dads!
Originally, everybody assumed that Lucas (Bryan Dattilo) fathered both twins. However, it ultimately turned out E.J. (James Scott) managed to father Johnny when he blackmailed Sami into having sex with him to help save Lucas! What a SHOCKING outcome in Salem!

Like Father Like Son?
On General Hospital (GH), Ava (Maura West) conceived Avery on the day of A.J. Quartermaine’s funeral. However, she slept with BOTH Morgan (Bryan Craig) and his dad Sonny (Maurice Benard) in the same day!
Sonny tried to kill Ava on an island, but the pregnancy saved her. Meanwhile, Morgan wanted Ava to get an abortion, but she kept putting it off.
After an incredibly troubled pregnancy, adorable Avery was born, and ultimately DNA tests confirmed that Sonny, and not his son Morgan, fathered the child. Sadly, Ava had a hand in the death of her daughter’s brother Morgan when she switched his medication.
Second Generation Paternity Scandal
Originally, Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) believed he was Douglas’s father on The Bold and the Beautiful (BB). Unfortunately, Caroline (Lindsey Godfrey) had slept with his son Thomas (Pierson Fode), and ultimately the truth came out that Douglas belonged to Thomas and not Ridge.
For a while, Ridge tried to force Caroline and Thomas to keep the truth of Douglas’s paternity a secret, but eventually, the news came out, and Ridge had to accept that Douglas was his grandson and not his son.
