Soap vet Stephen Nichols has been going through a time that most adult children have to deal with, that of caring for an aging parent.
Nichols, who made a name for himself in soaps on Days of Our Lives, but has also had major roles on General Hospital and The Young and the Restless, admits his mother is ailing right now.
He and his sister have been going through her belongings and coming across old photographs.
He’s posted some snaps to Instagram before, including one of his mom on her 91st birthday last month, but the one he shared on Wednesday night is especially poignant.

It’s Nichols, his mom, and his wife, Lisa, soon after they wed in 1984. The actor said these photos are making him think of happier times in his life, as some of these photos are of his childhood. See the tender photos below.
