While she currently plays Kim on General Hospital, Tamara Braun began her daytime career as Carly on that same show. While it’s a testament to her talent as an actress that she could play two distinct characters on that show and on others and stay incredibly popular, Braun has even more to celebrate.
That’s because she was born on April 18, 1971, in Evanston, Illinois, which means that she turned 48 years old Thursday! The gorgeous actress picked an interesting way to celebrate when she shared a photo of herself on Instagram in an eye-popping cape. (See below)
General Hospital isn’t the only soap that Braun has made an impression on. She messed with legendary couple Steve (Stephen Nichols) and Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) on Days of Our Lives, where she played Ava Vitali in 2008 and again from 2015-2016. GH wasn’t the only show she played two roles. She was also on DAYS as Taylor Walker in 2011.

She also made soap history on All My Children as Reese and Bianca (Eden Riegel) shared the first same-sex marriage proposal and the first legal same-sex wedding and marriage on daytime. Braun was on that show from 2008-2009.
Braun has also appeared all over primetime, in shows like Buffy, The Vampire Slayer, Party of Five, 7th Heaven, The Pretender, House, Cold Case, Without A Trace, CSI, Castle, Supernatural, Bosch, The Rookie, and so many more. She’s also appeared in films like Soul Food, Fallen Arches, and Dead Trigger.
