Many favorite soap stars share slices of their private lives on social media for fans, friends, and family to enjoy! Much like anyone else, they share pics, events, and special causes.
However, oftentimes, when soap fans don’t like what characters are doing on a show, they take it way too far with personal attacks on the actors themselves.
Recently this happened to The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), star Heather Tom (Katie).
She’s never one to take this type of abuse lying down, so she spoke out about fans who sent ill wishes towards her on social media.
She’s not the only daytime vet to point out her status as a human being either. Others like Christian LeBlanc (Michael, YR) have also spoken out in the past.

A huge 75% of you believe that people are people regardless of the job they have. These sudser actors put in many hours of work to create the characters fans love and love to hate.
You think it’s way too easy these days to sit behind a computer screen and be mean. The sad fact is, the actors fans attack when they dislike storylines are people too (so are the writers, by the way).

However, there are 25% of you who believe that this type of criticism simply comes with the job, and these actors need to simply grow thicker skin and ignore when outraged fans take some of their fury out on the face of the character.
