It’s a day of backyard barbecues, but also a day to remember those America has lost in service to our country. And, it’s the unofficial start of summer as well, which can make your soap opera viewing schedule change.
On Monday, both Days of Our Lives and General Hospital will not run new episodes. NBC will air the French Open tennis, so if you like this sport, you’re in luck.
Also, get ready for no DAYS on Thursday, June 6 and Friday, June 7 as NBC airs the French Open semi-finals.
General Hospital is just taking the day off from new shows and instead ABC will air an encore episode that originally aired on April 2 of this year. This was the soap’s 56th-anniversary episode where Gail Baldwin sent her friends on a scavenger hunt full of hospital memories.

It’s business as usual over at CBS where both The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful will air new episodes. With the return of Adam on and the YR return of Steffy to BB, things will certainly be interesting next week.
But, will we see some celebrations as well now that summer is starting in the soap world. How busy will the Bikini Bar get and will Kyle be found in this birthday suit again?
