Seeing as how it’s International Women’s Day, Soap Hub thought it fitting to feature some of our favorite soap opera women. They’re the ones who inspire us, who captivate us, and who we can’t imagine the show without.
The Young and the Restless
Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) has grown so much over the years in Genoa City. She has endured unbelievable heartbreak – from finding out she wasn’t a blood Abbott, to losing Victor’s love, through the loss of Faith, whom she had to give back to Sharon after Adam had stolen and given to Ashley.
She is now a confident, gorgeous woman in control of her family’s company and proving she doesn’t need a man to fill fulfilled.
General Hospital
Anna (Finola Hughes) brings the international element to this group, being an immigrant, and all… She’s super smart, sexy, and knows how to get what she wants. While she might not have always been around for her daughter Robin during her formative years, she’s certainly tried to make up for it.

Days of Our Lives
Look how far Gabi Hernandez (Camila Banus) has come over the years. After paying her debt to society, she is a single mother trying to carve out her own niche in this world. She has started her own business, worked for one of the most powerful men in Salem (okay, so they have a crush on each other, she got the job first!), and is ready to handle whatever life throws at her. Who wouldn’t be inspired by her courageous spirit?
The Bold and the Beautiful
Beautiful Maya (Karla Mosley) proves you don’t have to have been born a woman to turn into an incredible one. She’s a woman with a huge heart who wanted so badly to be a mother and create a family with her loving husband, Rick. Thanks to an equally awesome woman, he sister Nicole, she was able to do just that. She is a woman her daughter can be proud of and is a great role model for her and all females.
