Jordana Brewster is an actress and a model who is best known for playing Mia Toretto in The Fast and the Furious film franchise. She has also appeared in movies such as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Faculty. She also got her start on soaps.

Brewster has also appeared in primetime television shows such as Dallas and Lethal Weapon. From growing up overseas to how she met her husband, here are five fast facts about the stunning actress.

Who Is Jordana Brewster?

Brewster was born on April 26 in Panama City, Panama and is the oldest of two daughters. Her family relocated to London when she was 2 months old and stayed there until she was 6. The family then relocated to Brazil, where they stayed until she was 10, and then moved to New York City. Brewster attended the Convent of the Sacred Heart and graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in English.

Soap Beginnings
After graduating from Yale, Brewster began her acting career and was cast on ABC’s now-defunct All My Children as Anita Santos in 1995. That same year, she quickly moved over to CBS where she played Nikki Munson on the dearly departed As the World Turns for six years.

Breakthrough Role
Brewster’s big breakthrough came when she landed the role of Mia Toretto in The Fast and the Furious, which was released in 2001. She didn’t have a driver’s license when she was cast, so she was had to take driving lessons during filming. She has since appeared in four other Fast and the Furious franchise movies, with the last one coming out in 2020.

Reel Life vs. Real Life

Brewster was cast in American Crime: The People vs. OJ Simpson as Denise Brown, Nicole Brown Simpson’s sister. She fought hard for the role, even sending a side-by-side photo of herself and Denise to producers to prove how much they looked alike. The show went on to win a number of Emmys, including Outstanding Limited Series.

Getting Personal With Jordana Brewster
Brewster met her husband, producer Andrew Form, on the set of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning. They got engaged in November 2006 and tied the knot on May 6, 2007. They also have two sons, Julian, who was born on September 10, 2013, and Rowan, who was born on June 9, 2016.
