While all of these soap opera stars have their beauty and poise in common, one of them has something different: A David Bowie tattoo!
David Bowie was a superstar — a glam rock singer who had a huge following in this country and around the world — and especially one particular soap actress.
While these actresses – Lauren Koslow from Days of Our Lives, Rena Sofer from The Bold and the Beautiful, Melody Thomas Scott from The Young and the Restless, and Jacklyn Zeman from General Hospital – may all adore the singer, only one has a new tattoo that honors him.
Not only that, but Tuesday was National Tattoo Day, so one of these actresses actually shared a video of when she got her David Bowie tattoo. Do you think you know which one it was?
Rena Sofer played band manager Lois Cerullo on GH back in the day. The character married rocker Eddie Maine, played by Wally Kurth. While the two got together (and divorced) in real life, that’s about it for Sofer.
Also on that show was Zeman’s Bobbie, who fell in love with Dr. Noah Drake — played by rocker Rick Springfield. Again, that’s not really a connection to David Bowie. Springfield actually returned to the show as Noah’s rocker-lookalike, Eli Love.

Melody Thomas Scott is the musical one, playing piano on the show as Nikki Newman… but that doesn’t mean she has a tattoo of Ziggy Stardust by any stretch.
No, that honor belongs to DAYS star Lauren Koslow, who plays Kate on the show. The actress is a devout fan of the Blackstar singer, going so far as to post a video (see below) of her getting a tattoo that honors the late singer.
