Every year, after the Daytime Emmy Award nominations are announced and before the actual ceremony, the lead actress nominees get together for lunch — and dish!
While we don’t know what fun tidbits were shared, we’re lucky that they were generous enough to share some snaps from the event, which was held at a.o.c restaurant & wine bar in Los Angeles.
This year’s nominees are Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis), Laura Wright (Carly), and Maura West (Ava) from General Hospital, Marci Miller (Abigail/Gabigail/Dr. Laura) from Days of Our Lives, and Eileen Davidson (Ashley) from The Young and the Restless.
The lunch was hosted by last year’s winner, Gina Tognoni (Phyllis, Y&R), as per tradition.
This is Miller’s first time at the annual celebration and when she shared one of the pictures to her Instagram account, she said, “Lunch with incredible human beings. Wildly intelligent, passionate, and talented with hearts of gold. Teared up a couple times out of gratitude for my life and the opportunity to sit among them. I’m a lucky gal.”
Davidson added, “It’s the annual daytime Emmys lead actress nominee luncheon! So happy and thrilled to be a part of this group of amazing women! Thank you, Gina Tognoni!”

Wright got in on the action as well, saying, “Thank You Gina Tognoni for hosting a Beautiful Leading Ladies Luncheon!!! So much fun with this talented group! Grateful for this long standing tradition.”
As the host, Tognoni had special words she wished to share: “Today made me proud to be a part of this beautiful community we all belong to thank you for sharing it with me. Congratulations and Good luck Leading ladies.”
Tognoni and Grahn both shared the video below which is a lovely wrap-up of the afternoon’s festivities.
