Jordi Vilasuso left Days of Our Lives (DOOL) last year and is about to debut in a hot new role on The Young and the Restless (YR) this week, but his daughter’s first day of kindergarten came first and takes top prize for cuteness!
The handsome actor is returning to the network he got his start on back in 2001 when he played Tony Santos on Guiding Light. By the end of the week, he’ll arrive in Genoa City as a new character named Rey, who will be investigating JT’s death.
But for right now, it’s all about the home front for Vilasuso, as his adorable daughter Riley Grace prepares for her very first day of kindergarten. The proud papa shared an adorable father-daughter snap ever (see below) to Instagram, saying:
“Big feels today! Our lil Riley Grace is not so lil anymore…kindergarten here we come. Time flies with these kiddos…enjoy the moments! #nowthepresent”

While he’s still very missed in Salem, especially now that his sister Gabi (Camila Banus) has seemingly crossed over to the Dark Side and could really use big brother Dario’s help and guidance, the actor is excited to be taking on his new Y&R role.
The show even released the following promo in which he talks about his roots on CBS. Vilasuso was quite pleased with the promo for one very important reason, which he later said when he retweeted the CBS post: “So happy I got to squeeze that wink in there 😅”
