Don Diamont has joined the ranks of many daytime stars who’ve taken pen to paper and written their memoirs. The Bold and the Beautiful actor’s tome is available now, and Soap Hub has two signed copies to give away to two lucky readers!
In his autobiography, My Seven Sons and How We Raised Each Other: (They Only Drive Me Crazy 30% of the Time), Diamont details intimate details of his personal life, including how he became father to seven boys!
The actor also recounts his romantic life including relationships with Gloria Loring (ex-Liz, Days of Our Lives), Eileen Davidson (Ashley, The Young and the Restless), and his wife — the love of his life — Cindy Ambuehl (ex-Kim, B&B).
Diamont told TV Insider that it took him a few years to write the book since it “includes periods of difficult loses — my father, my brother, and my sister. Writing this book was the hardest thing I’ve ever done.”
While Bill Spencer, Diamont’s B&B character, is far from being a nurturing dad, Diamont’s just the opposite in real life. He hopes that readers of the book, including his boys, walk away with a better understanding of who he is.

“I’ll hear a parent talk about how they will give in all their time to their children,” Diamont laments. “Sometimes, you hug them and kiss them and you express how proud you are of them. Others, you have to stick a foot up their [rear end]. They don’t always appreciate that, but it’s a must. There have to be boundaries and expectations of behavior.”
The book also details a great deal of Diamont’s professional life including the challenges he faced at DAYS as a new actor, how he was hired by Y&R, and his subsequent decisions to both leave and return to the show.
Diamont’s also candid about his exit from Y&R (Brad died saving Noah, then Kevin Schmidt, from drowning) and how he landed at B&B!
