Soaps are on every weekday and churn through the story fast, whether it’s romance, weddings, adventure… you get the idea. All of these elements make up your favorite show… but which one do you want to see the most?
After all, some are more interesting than others. Some people may prefer romance over the actual wedding, and mystery rather than adventure. Soap Hub wanted to know what your favorite was and over 8,000 registered their vote!
Ah, Romance
Not surprisingly, 37% chose romance as the most important type of story they want to see on their soap in 2019! You love it when guys like The Bold and the Beautiful’s Dollar Bill (Don Diamont) and The Young and the Restless’ Victor (Eric Braeden) pull out all the stops to romance the ladies in their lives. You can’t get enough!
Great Adventure
A still strong 22% love adventure, which Days of Our Lives has always been good at, especially back in the 1980s when adventure was king. General Hospital did that too with Luke (Tony Geary) and Laura’s (Genie Francis) adventures, whether escaping the mob or trying to stop the Cassadines from freezing the world.
The Mysteries of Life
Still, 16% find a good soap mystery carries the day and are hoping for more of that in 2019. Right now, Y&R has you wondering who is after the Newmans and the four women who may buried JT (Thad Luckinbill). Bring on more of that!

A Good Laugh
Just behind that with 15% is humor — and those fans can’t get enough of that. Right now, DAYS’ Leo (Greg Rikaart) is certainly providing the laughs, as did Xander (Paul Telfer). In his prime, Jack (Matthew Ashford) was able to do that too, and hopefully will soon again — once his memory returns.
A Special Vow
For 5%, you want to see more couples making it legal in the new year. Weddings are a beautiful thing and you feel the soaps need to do more of that!
Oh, Baby
Apparently babies are only popular with about 3% of you — perhaps the baby switches on GH and B&B have caused a bit of infant fatigue, but at least a few of you still want more. The other 2% chose “other” — so perhaps those people just want a plain good story!
