Soap vet Eileen Davidson, who just wrapped up her stint as Ashley on The Young and the Restless, has an update for her fans and it’s not good news!
The actress is recovering from a nasty spider bite and she says she’s now suffering from an infection from it.
The Emmy-winning star shared a photo of her bitten limb on Instagram, with an update saying that despite being on multiple forms of medicine (antibiotics, topical ointment) her injury isn’t healing quite yet.
Davidson, who has appeared on Days of Our Lives as Susan, Kristen, et. al, and on The Bold and the Beautiful as Ashley, also corrected an earlier post that said it was a Brown Recluse Spider that did the damage.
The actress apologized for identifying the wrong type of spider as the culprit who bit her. She says she gave out inaccurate information based off of Internet photos.

While spider bites don’t seem like something to worry about to some, they must always be taken seriously, even just as a precaution.
