We don’t need all those bathing suits on The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) to remind us that we’re almost a month into the summer season! But before we know it, these next few months will have passed and we’ll be onto November sweeps!

Are you looking forward to that time of year when, traditionally, storylines peak, secrets are revealed, and mysteries are solved? Soap Hub asked you if you were happily anticipating this wonderful time of year and must-see viewing.

Bring It On!
A majority of soap fans, 81% to be exact, responded, “Yes – excited for new storylines!” This is understandable. There will be much to anticipate this fall.

By November, we’ll not only see Eileen Davidson (Ashley, The Young and the Restless) airing again on Days of Our Lives.

While it hasn’t been officially announced which character she’ll be playing, our guess is that she’ll sooner or later be portraying Kristen even though she is presumed dead.

Other things to be looking forward to this fall is a storyline for Steve Burton in light of his return to General Hospital.

And on B&B, it won’t be surprising at all to see in November the continued wars going strong between Forrester and Spectra, and also Sheila (Kimberlin Brown) vs. Quinn!

Dashed Hopes
A small but vocal percentage of fans, 18%, voted that they are not  looking forward to November sweeps, opting to select the poll choice “No – I don’t want to be disappointed again.”

That speaks to how often fans have gotten their hopes up that a storyline was going to wow them only to be disappointed when expectations fall short.

That left 1% of responders to select the option “other.” Asked to elaborate, fans mostly wrote in about Y&R. One wrote: “Nope. Greg Rikaart (ex-Kevin) was treated horribly.”

Another wrote, “Only if Adam returns soon.” And still another voter asked that “Bring Dillias (sic) real killer to justice!”

Bringing Adam back to Y&R might not be a bad idea and could help generate interest in November sweeps! (But we doubt the show will revise history to make anyone else the person who fatally struck little Delia.)

Time will tell if the show once again decides to resurrect Victor’s son!
