The 46th Annual Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series goes to Maurice Benard, who plays Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital. This was…. nomination. This was Benard’s second Daytime Emmy win and first since 2003.
Benard played out an intense and emotional story last year when Sonny learned his father, Mike (Max Gail), was suffering from Alzheimer’s Disease. Gail also won an Emmy earlier in the night.
