Hits and Misses Breakdown: June 22-26, 2026

Beyond the Gates

HIT: Kat steps up and donates a portion of her liver to Eva. After being in denial and after much contemplation, Kat (Colby Nixon) stepped up and donated a portion of her liver to Eva (Ambyr Michelle), the half-sister she had hated ever since she found out the truth. Kat is usually larger-than-life, but as the possibility of getting tested became more apparent, she made herself smaller, and the weight of this decision showed on her face. And sometimes she said things that didn’t make her likable. But ultimately, she found a reason to come through, despite so many counting her out.
MISS: Martin’s brotherly support for Kat is nonexistent. During the Eva and Kat crisis, several people tried to pressure Kat into making the decision they wanted. But the most disappointing interaction had to be the one between Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Kat. They grew up together. But their relationship has struggled at times. It makes us hope that the show someday delves into why Martin can’t seem to unconditionally support her. It probably has to do with the whole “miracle baby” aspect of how Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and Ted (Keith D. Robinson) have treated her. But the way Martin couldn’t truly see things from her perspective was unfortunate.
Honorable Mention (HIT): Kat and Eva talk. Kat’s surreal dream wasn’t our favorite moment, but the talk that came afterward was excellent. And it wasn’t just that the insults were minimal. They had a civil conversation where they shared their perspectives. However, they didn’t decide to be all lovey-dovey sisters from now on. The tornado and transplant might have changed their relationship forever, but they won’t be besties anytime soon. At least we don’t think so.

The Bold and the Beautiful

HIT: Hope and Deke shine with the Hope Logan fashion line. Logan introduced its new Hope Logan fashion line. Together, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Deke (Harrison Cone) created a line that could and would absolutely compete with whatever Forrester Creations offered with Eric’s new couture line. They got the jump on FC and knocked the fashion show out of the park. And then they created a viral moment when Hope came out wearing the Hope for the Future Diamond. The momentum lies with Logan right now. Forrester Creations may need to lick their wounds for a while after this. While Hope and Katie (Heather Tom) keeping this whole thing a secret wasn’t our favorite way for Hope to break out of the Forrester shell, it made for a fascinating Friday episode. Very soapy, and it left Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) practically speechless.
MISS: Zende will get the short end of the stick again. While Hope should have quit outright instead of the leave of absence, we don’t blame her for going over to Logan. What we don’t like is how this move will impact Zende (Delon de Metz), who was named the lead designer of Hope for the Future just in time for Hope to defect to the competition. Now that everyone knows that Hope is over at Logan, please let FC give Zende his own chance to shine. Let him create a fashion line that could become a viable competitor to Hope’s. Fight fire with fire. At the very least, please let Zende have a chance to vent his frustration and sense of betrayal to Hope and the Forresters, who often overlook him and his talents.
Honorable Mention (HIT): The Logan Design Room. The look of the Logan offices is much cooler than the traditional, classic Forrester Creations office. Nowhere is this more evident than in the newly introduced Logan Design Room set. Kudos to the set design and art departments. That room helps set the tone for the Logan scenes and their striking difference from the stuffy FC offices.

Days of our Lives

HIT: The flashback palooza celebrating 50 years of Marlena Evans. This week, DAYS celebrated 50 years of Marlena Evans (Deidre Hall), an incredible milestone. The show marked the momentous occasion by bringing back Christopher Sean’s Paul Narita and rolling out a series of flashbacks that took viewers back to a time that rarely gets the flashback treatment. We got to see when Hall first started, Marlena’s relationship with Don Craig (Jed Allen), and scenes with the late Drake Hogestyn as Roman Brady and John Black. Also scenes with her real-life twin, Andrea Hall. And of course, the iconic John and Marlena reunion scene on the pier. DAYS does flashbacks like no other soap.
MISS: Where was Wayne Northrop’s Roman Brady? Marlena and Wayne Northrop’s Roman Brady was a big deal relationship back in the day. Why wasn’t that represented in the flashbacks?
Honorable Mention (HIT): Cherie Jimenez and Vico Escorcia. In the Thursday, June 25 episode, Ari found out that Gabi paid Liam (Hank Northrop) to leave town. And as a result, they had a heated confrontation in the middle of Horton Town Square. Even though Ari and Gabi yelled at each other (some of it in Spanish), the argument actually highlighted how great the chemistry between Cherie Jimenez and Vico Escorcia is. As mother and daughter, they have come a long way in a very short time. And we look forward to seeing more scenes featuring Gabi and Ari’s complex relationship.

General Hospital

HIT: Anna’s return. Man, it was nice to see Anna (Finola Hughes) return to form on GH this week. Sure, she’s not completely the same because we don’t quite know where her mindset is, but it was great to see her reunite with Felicia (Kristina Wagner), Mac (John J. York), and especially Emma. Anna and Emma’s scenes are gold, and Braedyn Bruner has been doing an excellent job playing her grief over Anna’s mental breakdown. Now we just need to get Anna back to Port Charles so she can blow up whatever’s left of this Sidwell (Carlo Rota), Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), and Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) business.
MISS: Rocco refuses to leave Britt. Rocco (Finn Carr) is a teenager who has forged this odd relationship with the woman who gave birth to him in the shadiest way possible. But for some reason, when Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu (Alexa Havins) track him down in Tortola, the British Virgin Islands, he doesn’t want to leave with them unless they take care of Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), too. What? He doesn’t seem to care that he worried and stressed out his parents. It doesn’t even cross his mind. How did we get here?
Honorable Mention (HIT): A Detective Bennett sighting. When was the last time we even saw him? It feels like a long time since Kendrick Cross’s last appearance as Detective Calvin Bennet. This week, he’s the one who took care of Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) after the kid tried to break into the WSB building. The PCPD needs all the cops they can get since they never close a case and often target the wrong person of interest. Maybe in Dante’s absence, he could be the acting police commissioner.

The Young and the Restless

HIT: Nate’s soul-searching. Nikki’s health crisis — the mass on her optic nerve — is further sucking Nate (Sean Dominic) back into medicine, and it feels good. As much as we love him working alongside his family at Winters, we wouldn’t mind him doing double duty as both corporate shark and doctor. Every soap should have some sort of hospital presence, and now that Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) is chief of staff over at Genoa City Memorial, she needs someone else to join her there. Why not Nate?
MISS: Claire tattles to Victor about Nikki’s health situation. For once, Victor (Eric Braeden) was out of the loop on a major Newman family matter. He wasn’t controlling the situation, and it was refreshing. While he definitely should have been told at some point, it should have been when Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) wanted it. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) didn’t agree with her mother, but she tried to adhere to her wishes (until she could no longer). Even though Victoria asked her daughter not to say anything, Claire (Hayley Erin) ultimately didn’t listen. And of course, nobody’s mad about it. There’s no time for that now, with Nikki in a full-blown crisis, but hopefully Victoria will revisit Claire’s choices in the future.
Honorable Mention (MISS): Jack insists he has to do everything by himself. What is Jack (Peter Bergman) even doing? He’s the only one who can handle Patty (Stacy Haiduk), even though he knows how cagey, persistent, and delusional she can be. But he doesn’t need any help. He can do this. Then Kyle (Michael Mealor) tracks down Dr. Laurence Markham (Jere Burns) to his house. And Kyle wants to break in and see if Diane (Susan Walters) is there. But no. Jack says he’s the one who will do it. He should be distracting Patty while someone else — Kyle — breaks into the house. His determination should come off as fighting for Diane, but it ends up feeling like he’s just as controlling as Victor.
