The devastation caused by Hurricane Harvey has encompassed the nation as more and more video and photos come out the flood-ravaged Houston.
This historic storm has dropped nearly 50 inches of water on the Houston area as of yesterday afternoon and more is expected over the coming days.
The entire Texas National Guard has been called in for rescue efforts and average citizens with boats have been rescuing people since the weekend one by one, maneuvering their way through water-covered streets and roads that have turned this part of Texas into a gigantic lake.
For astounding reference, the area has been turned into a lake the size of Lake Michigan, according to The Washington Post.
Other states have also been sending spare Guard troops down to Texas, and even news crews have been performing rescues when need be. (See video below.)
