He may be missing in the big universe, but a daytime veteran who appears on the Netflix series Lost in Space is feeling pretty happy right now! That’s because the show has been renewed for a second season!
Series star Ignaccio Serrichio shared the happy news on his Instagram page that the viewers will be seeing more of him as Major Don West.
Ironically, the original Don West in the first Lost In Space series in the 1960s was played by Mark Goddard, who went on to become Derek Barrington on General Hospital.
GH fans know that Serricchio played Diego Alcazar for a few years starting in 2004.
Serricchio is also known to fans of The Young and the Restless as Det. Alex Chavez, who helped out at the Genoa City police department in from 2012-14.
Lost in Space has much to celebrate in that it has a second season, but the Robinson family has much to worry about!

Another soap connection to the cast is Parker Posey (ex-Tess, As the World Turns), who plays June Harris aka Dr. Smith. June’s surname is likely a nod to Dr. Smith’s original actor – Jonathan Harris!
