Sonny wasted no time trying to take Ethan out and would have if not for Luke, Lucky, Michael (Chad Duell), and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna). Eventually, Sonny agreed not to retaliate against Ethan because of his friendship with Luke and because Alexis begged him not to put that on their daughter.
Jason (Steve Burton) and Dante soon began to have doubts about Kristina’s story and suspected Kiefer was really the one hurting her. After convincing Dante and Lucky to investigate further, Alexis was the one who discovered the truth when she found Kristina beaten severely for a second time.
Kiefer had just run out of the house past Alexis before she found her daughter. Alexis ran Kiefer over, trying to get Kristina to the hospital, leading to the truth that Ethan was innocent coming out.
Even after all the drama, Ethan forgave Kristina and tried to maintain a friendship with her. Kristina didn’t give up her crush on Ethan until she went away to college at Yale.
